Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about selling on WhatsApp with WhatCart.
Does WhatCart support cash on delivery?
Yes, it is the core of the product. Each order has an amount to collect; you record what the courier collected and paid you, and the amount adjusts automatically on partial delivery or refusal.
Can I keep using the WhatsApp Business app?
In most cases, yes. When you connect, choose coexistence to keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number, or use a dedicated Cloud API number. Meta decides coexistence eligibility.
Which couriers are supported?
Any courier, by webhook in the generic WhatCart format or by CSV files, with ready-made formats for Bosta, Mylerz, J&T and Aramex and automatic status updates.
Which languages does WhatCart support?
English and Arabic today, with more languages later. The dashboard and app support left-to-right and right-to-left, and buyer messages and the checkout form come in both languages.
Who pays for WhatsApp messages?
You pay Meta directly through your own WhatsApp Business account, at Meta’s rates for each message type and country. WhatCart adds no fee on these messages.
How do you protect my data and my buyers’ data?
Connections are encrypted, WhatsApp tokens and courier secrets are encrypted in the database, each store is isolated, and sensitive actions need a password check and are logged. We do not sell data.
How much does WhatCart cost?
Pricing is not set yet. During early access WhatCart is free, and we will announce plans before charging anything.
Do I need a website?
No. WhatsApp is your storefront: catalog, cart and checkout happen inside the chat.
